Prominent Gospel Musician and Politician Remanded for Murder Charges
Amarakutunga Levi, a well-known gospel musician and politician, has been remanded to Katojo Government Prison alongside four colleagues until April 14, 2025. The Grade One Magistrate for Kamwenge, Ahimbisibwe K. Innocent, made this ruling in response to murder charges brought against Levi and his co-accused.
According to reports, Levi is alleged to have murdered his four-year-old niece, Ainomugisha Tricia, in a ritual sacrifice. This disturbing accusation has sent shockwaves through the community, given Levi's prominent position as a gospel musician and politician
Levi been serving as male councilor representing persons with disabilities Kitagwenda District.
