Discovering the Ancient Secrets of Mugore Stones: Our Upcoming Hike
This Sunday, our hiking group embarks on an exciting adventure to the mystical Mugore Stones, nestled in the heart of Kazo District, Ankole. As we prepare to unravel the secrets of this ancient site, we're filled with anticipation and curiosity.

Unveiling the Legend

The Mugore Stones, or "Amabare g'mugore" in the local dialect, hold a fascinating history that dates back to the Chwezi era. According to legend, the stones were once a wedding procession that was cursed by a powerful Muchwezi man named Mugasha. As the story goes, the group ignored Mugasha's warning not to return by the same route, and in anger, he transformed them into stones.
Hike Program
Here's an overview of our exciting hike program:

10:00 am - Arrival and Hike
Arrive in Mugore and embark on a short hike around the area, from the Mugore Cultural Museum to the Mugore Stones. This spot offers interesting scenery, perfect for taking pictures and enjoying the cool atmosphere.

10:00 am - 12:30 pm - Exploring Mugore Stones
Spend approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes touring around the Mugore Stones, taking in the breathtaking views and learning about the site's rich history.

1:00 pm - 2:30 pm - Lunch at MK Resort Gardens
Head back to Kazo town and have lunch at MK Resort Gardens, a venue with ample space, an open bar, nice washrooms, and an exciting experience awaiting us.
*2:30 pm - 4:00 pm - Team Building Games*
Engage in a session of Team Building Games, led by an experienced expert. This will take about 1.5 hours, and we have a variety of games prepared, including:

- "Eat My Apple"
- "Lyrics Check"
- "Open Mic"
- "Sack Race"
- "Egg Carry"
- "Truth or Dare"
- "Bottle Filling"
- "Balloon Burst"
- "Dancing Competition"

4:00 pm - 9:00 pm - Evening Festivities
Begin the evening's festivities, filled with fun and excitement.

9:00 pm - Optional Nightlife in Ibanda Town
Depart for Ibanda town, where we can enjoy the night life, although this is optional, considering Monday is a working day and the Mbarara team will continue their journey back home.

Important Notes
- No outside drinks are allowed at MK Resort Gardens.
- Drink prices are as follows: beers are 5,000 UGX, and whisky prices vary depending on the size.
- No transactions will be accepted after February 12th, 2025. All participants are expected to pay their fees before this deadline to ensure proper arrangements.

Prominent Gospel Musician and Politician Remanded for Murder Charges Amarakutunga Levi, a well-known gospel musician and politician, has been remanded to Katojo Government Prison alongside four colleagues until April 14, 2025. The Grade One Magistrate for Kamwenge, Ahimbisibwe K. Innocent, made this ruling in response to murder charges brought against Levi and his co-accused.
